bulletI have a right to be safe in school.  This means that no one will: hit me, kick me, push me, pinch me or hurt me.

bulletI have a right to be happy and to be treated with respect.  This means that no one will:  laugh at me, hurt my feelings, or us unkind language toward me.

bulletThe teacher* has the right to give directions and expect that they will be followed.  This means that I will be respected and cooperative with the people in our school.  This means I will do my best work and show my best behavior.

*Teacher includes all adults working for the school (e.g.    aides, volunteers, etc).

These are my rights as an individual as long as I do not interfere with the rights of others.  This means that I will respect:  your right to learn, your feelings, and beliefs, your values as a unique individual and a member of the human family, and you will respect mine.

                     Woodland's School Bus Code

As a responsible bus rider we will:

.  Respect everyone's personal space and property.

.  Stay in our seats at all times.

.  Wear our seat belts and keep our bodies in

   the bus.

.  Use inside voices, no singing.

.  Respect the bus driver's decisions.

.  Eat food at home or at school, not on the bus.

.  Keep all toys and sports equipment home.

.  Use the "pass it up" rule to tell the bus driver if

someone's body is being hurt.  The bus driver will

stop the bus and the "caring majority" should speak.

The "caring majority" should then report the incident

to the Principal or a grown-up when they get to school.

A bus conduct form will be sent home.

.  Establish a "caring majority" at school if someone makes a

   mean mistake on the bus.

                     THE THREE STRIKE RULE MEANS

                            SUSPENSION  FROM THE BUS

We all must work together to have our bodies and feelings safe.
